The ColorOS 7 promises a visual overhaul and an improved UI design to the user. The new update includes a better colour scheme that reduces strain in the eye. Moreover, the user can also change the sizes and shapes of the app icons - they can pick the Default, Rectangle, Pebble options, or go for further customisation. Overall, the design of the icons is much more lightweight and graceful, and this also extends to third-party apps to ensure visual consistency.

● Live wallpapers

ColorOS 7 also brings with it a high-quality visual experience with its new set of wallpapers that have been crafted by designers, as part of the Special Artist Wallpaper Project. The wallpapers depict the corporate’s care for nature, environment and culture protection.

In fact, the operating system has also customised a special live wallpaper for Indian users that looks stunning and life-like. Hawa Mahal - It not only represents India’s iconic monument, but also shows how OPPO ColorOS is a ‘window to the world’. In addition, there are also many more live wallpapers that can light up your phone at the tap of your finger.

The ColorOS 7 supports the stock Android 10 Dark Mode that can be easily accessed through the navigation bar. Apart from the original apps and other Google apps, ColorOS goes out of the way to ensure this feature can be adapted to hundreds of apps, including the most-used top 200 apps for Indian and global users.

● Better RAM management

According to OPPO, the ColorOS 7 comes with a new RAM management system that reduces the start-up time for applications by over 40%, and has 30% system resource efficiency.

● Improved imaging and video capabilities

ColorOS 7 offers the Ultra Night Mode feature that boasts a low-light image enhancement algorithm to retain even the tiniest of details in dim light. The user can capture any moment without any restrictions!

That’s not all; it is also possible to now adjust the bokeh effects of both the front and rear cameras. The spotlight and gradient features have been improved, and can now be used for videos. It is currently available only on OPPO Reno2. So, when a user shoots a portrait video, the background gets blurred in real time and highlights the subject.

This update also makes sure you get the best selfies every single time. It comes with an upgraded beauty feature that lets the user change skin colour and facial retouching in one tap. It can also regulate how much makeup is needed based on different skin colors.

All in all, ColorOS 7 is certainly more intuitive and provides an enhanced user experience never seen before! It has over 300 million users globally and we certainly know why.

ColorOS 7 is the latest version of software from Oppo. Color OS 7 improves on a lot of features of Color OS 6. In fact, the ColorOS 7 is build on top of version 6. With Infinite Design, ColorOS 7 has adopted a lightweight visual approach that simplifies the user interface, helping users focus more on their content. ColorOS 7 presents users with a system-wide, highly customized, and deeply immersive Dark Mode that can be used any time of day. This is one of the newest features of ColorOS 7. So how to enable Dark mode on ColorOS 7.

Step 1: To enable dark mode on ColorOS 7, open the settings panel in any Oppo or Realme device.

Step 2: Scroll down and you will see Display settings and select this option.

Step 3: Under the display settings, you can see Dark Mode. Select this option and you can toggle the dark mode in the device. You can also schedule dark mode and enable it for third party apps.


Once it is enabled, you can see that all the system wide settings and apps will have dark theme or dark mode.
